Airfoil ClCdCm Database

Below is a list of airfoils with ClCdCm data which can be used by the non-linear lifting line program. Clicking on an airfoil name will display its ClCdCm data. The data has been mostly hand entered by students. It has not been checked. If you do notice any errors, or can recognise the source of data where it is not given, please contact S.J.Hulshoff@TUDelft.NL.

Contributing data

Your contribution to the database is encouraged. This can be done by constructing one or more ClCdCm files, in text (.txt) format, each of which has four columns:

alpha (degrees) Cl Cd Cm

At the beginning of each file, add a few comment lines which give your name and explain how the data was constructed. Comment lines should start with a "#" in the first column. Name each file with the convention:

AirfoilName_DataSource_ReRenoldsNumber.fFlapDeflection, (e.g. NACA0012_XFoil_Re1.2e6.f20 )

One option for constructing data is to use XFoil in combination with the Airfoil Coordinate Database. If you do so, be sure to give the critical XFoil parameters used to generate the results in the comment area of each ClCdCm file. Mail the completed files to S.J.Hulshoff@TUDelft.NL.
